I make films about scientists studying the natural world out in the field.

Walk and Talk: Ants in the Desert

Director, Producer, Writer, Director of Photography, Editor

Stanford biologist Deborah Gordon has been studying red harvester ants in the desert in Arizona for more than 40 years. Her decades long study on their foraging behaviors reveals how climate change may disrupt intricate mechanisms of animmal communication.

PLANKTON at the PEAK

Co-Producer, Co-Director, Co-Writer, Co-DP, Co-Editor

2025 - Documentary, 5 min

In 2025, I had the amazing opportunity to participate in the Jackson Wild Media Lab. There, my collaborators Madison McKay and Sumeet Kulkarni made this short about the work of University of Wyoming PhD candidate Meredith Journey. Meredith studies zooplankton in alpine lakes in the Tetons. Her research on these tiny animals sheds light on how climate change affects water quality and describes a largely understudied part of the mountain ecosystem.

PRECIOUS CARGO

Director, Producer, Writer, Director of Photography, Editor

2025 - Documentary, 10 min

Dr. Mesi Fischer studies how tadpoles of Ranitomeya variabilis, a tiny poison frog species, communicate to their parents after being transported to bromeliad water pools. The research takes her to a remote field station in the Amazon Rainforest, where her findings shed light on parent-offspring communication and the effects of climate change on amphibians.

Director, Producer, Writer, Director of Photography, Editor

2024 - Documentary, 40 min

Dr. Thomas Werner, an accomplished molecular biologist, moves out of the lab in a quest to make an encyclopedia documenting all the fruit fly species in North America.

2022 - Narrative, 95 minutes

Kathryn and Davey are stumbling through their twenties together, struggling with unfulfilling jobs and unformed personal identities.
